Roelof van der Merwe who is likely to make his 20/20 debut for South Africa on Friday night has been signed up by Bangalore. All-rounder, van der Merwe joins fellow South Africans, Kallis, Boucher, Steyn, du Preez and KP (

Hand release speed is different from speed gun. Genereally quite a bit faster.

I wasn’t begrudging van der Merwe, actually think he could do a decent role for the South Africans. Bat maybe top 3, bowl at the death and against some rather weak bowling attacks in the IPL, he could really do some damage, as he is a tremendous striker of the ball.

i really pity the Indian team - within 3 days of the NZ tour completion they will need to fly out to South Africa for the micky mouse matches and play non-stop for next 3 months .
wont be surprised if they are sluggish in the World T 20 championships - really the only thing the that's close to the BCCI is the moolah.

Yeah, those poor players being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars. They always have the option of skipping the IPL and resting for the T20 WC and tours ahead though.
