Ok I'm pissed we should be up by at least 10 to 0 but thanks to the video ref disallowing Misi's try we're down 12-6
Mate it's Cronulla. Why torture yourself with false hope?

I know there have been a heap of shark attacks this year and that might seem like an omen, but it isn't.

Trust me, the shark attacks will, like the team if the same name, shudder to a halt come September.

Oh **** me that is a horrendous injury to Ciraldo (sp?). Knights down to 1 on the bench

Steve Simpson in "Early season injury but no doubt still to play in Origin 1 despite playing no footy" shocker!

A leg is not supposed to bend that way. This will be a huge effort if Newcastle can hang on.

Knights should look for an early field goal. Even 15 minutes out 13 points is a lot for the Sharks to over run. Well actually 80 minutes out 13 points is a lot for the Sharks, but you get the point.

Ciraldo had his ankle popped back in, might be back in a few weeks. Thank **** for that.

Love Brandy on Fox banging on about how the poor sharks miss Kearney so much as the camera pans to the Knights bench which looks like the ED at Westmead Hospital.

Cronulla crowd has a similar babe:total spectator ratio as the Saffie cricket team just quietly.

Dont know what to make of the Sharks, struggled to beat the worst team in the comp, now being beaten by another of the supposed lower ranked sides ravaged by injuries. Both matches at home, I tipped them to win the minor premiership but they are offering nothing.

Thay are the worst attacking side in the comp. Any team that scores 4 tries against them can win.

Gutsy effort from the Knights, hopefully we can get Mullen and Simpson back soon.

sup, I'm all up in this thread being correct as ****

Kimmorely is the biggest loss for any NRL club from last season (and by far the best buy for this season, mark my words). No one rates him but he was the reason the Sharks were so good last season. Now they're a big **** off ship without a rudder.

So are Cricketweb officially saying the Sharks are gone for 09? They'll never win a comp but can they be finals contenders, annoyance for real rugby league teams or what?

Seymour and Barrett may eventually come good but I don't see it because neither of them are proper halves. Barrett is similar to Anasta in that he's almost a lock playing at 6, Seymour is a good player when he's got an experienced leader next to him and now they've lost Bird (and de Gois!) they really lack direction in attack.

For a team that didn't score many points in the first place, losing 3 of your 4 points of attack and replacing them with basically 2 back rowers and Corey Hughes, who's about as creative as my left ball, just isn't up to scratch.

I reckon they'll probably make finals on the back of a few standout games from Barrett and their ridiculously good defence, but they won't go in higher than 6th and they'll be out in the first round.

DCYE summed it up nicely, I had the Sharks at 9th in my predictions and I still think they'll finish just outside the 8. On the plus I think that young Ferguson shows a bit of potential,
