Exactly, same argument as there was against Read as an international player. Not necessarily right, but having a **** in the squad doesn't do morale any favours unless he's world class.

What exactly is wrong with Trott's personality? Pietersen was seen as an incredibly arrogant prat when he came into the England team, with alot of false stories spread about him, but look where he is now, easily Englands best player. Trott's got a magnificent List A record, and should be in the side.

As it turned out, yes, but at the time, Geraint Jones was the only man keeping him out of the side, so as long as he could catch and know which end of a bat to hold he would have been a better option.
