"Official" England A vs New Zealand A in New Zealand

Polo23

International Debutant
NZ A handing out an absolute mauling at the moment. 341/6 with 1.3 overs remaining.

Ingram 135, Stewart 59, McCullum 33* and Diamanti 27*

Natman20

International Debutant
373/6 after 50. Very impressive effort and McCullum gets his 50 by getting a 6 on the last ball.

NZ A look like they'll manage to defend 373, but not by much. Another typical NZ ODI pitch and no bowlers went for less than 5 per over.

Graham Napier out at the end for 77 from 41 balls... how is this guy not in the England ODI side?

When you select Aldridge and Diamanti in the same team (along with a few other bowlers in that bunch) you're asking for it.

yeah, not much chance of England winning a game in the OD series with a bowling attack including 4 wayward fast bowlers and a couple of part timers.

British Lions seeking some semblance of end of tour pride bundled out for 143.

The English Lions failed to roar once again. Demolished in the 20/20 today. NZA 227 for 6 after 20 with a certain S Stewart hammering 88 from 39, with 6 4's and 7 6's.

"Having arrived on broad antipodean planes, these Lions boastfully sought to assert themselves as the kings of this backwater jungle. But now, with tails firmly wedged between legs, these cubs trudge for home, solemnly licking their wound.

With the ability to kill for themselves lost forever, those borne of proud fathers sit politely, mouths agape, pathetically reliant on their masters to continue the role of sole providers.

As the sun is sure to rise, and fall, these toothless imitators slump, relieved to finally rest their wearied hinds. Rigorous reconditioning programmes will commence, as will the methodical digestion of individually designed nutrition. Guest speakers from neighbouring tribes will hold eagerly attended tautological discussions surrounding the latest ‘most effective’ kill techniques. To complete things, specialists will lead compulsory workshops, challenging players to answer insightful questions such as ‘what drives them to want to succeed’ and their ‘raison d’etre, all this in a bold effort toward self-discovery.

The glorious ghosts of yore give a final roar; turning with their heads dipped, their manes shake forlornly, unwilling to watch while their legacy fades from the album of their inheritor’s memories."

The real cricket involved two drawn matches.

England seeing that their bowling attack was about as unsuited to limit overs cricket as you could possible get, then decided to give part-timers some work and threw in Dawson on top of that.
