I have a small issue with grouping South Asia pitches all together. Sri Lankan pitches are much less likely to be flat than Indian or Pakistani ones, as shown in this analysis:

IIRC, Pakistani pitches appeared significantly more batsman-friendly when minnows were removed, but Sri Lankan ones stayed the same.
Thats 20 years though. The 90's really skews it and paints a distorted picture. This offers a more accurate representation of the past decade - Cricinfo - The best batting pitches in Tests . There are 4 Aussie and 3 English grounds in the top 10 batsmen friendly grounds, and not a single Indian one.

I know what you are saying. There are differences within the South Asian Teams but it was basically to show how different surfaces are in comparison to South Africa and how it prepares the players from different countries for those conditions. In that respect those inter-Asia differences were not of great relevance.

Those stats don't tell the full story as when Sehwag toured SA as an opener, he was probably in the worst phase of his career .... and many were calling for his head

The first time, he toured there, it was his debut series and made a good impression batting lower down. in fact he got a 100 on his test debut
Are you serious? Have you seen Sehwag bat? He doesn't even move his feet! All those stats prove is that Sehwag is a flat track bully. The ball was nipping around and Sehwag was exposed. Batting at number 6 is nothing like Opening the batting.

Maybe you should go check out the ground stats and realise that only 3 subcontient batsman average over 50 outside the subcontient and Sehwag isn't one of them. Subcontient bullies don't qualify as world-class batsman.

Hardest place to bat in world cricket is South Africa and Gilchrist averages 65 compared to Sehwag's 26! If you count Sehwag's stats in South Africa as an opener only then his played 5 innings, scored 49 runs at an average of 9.33!

Come back when you're older and try again, kiddo.
Say what?

Anyways you are just a kid and I leave the argument right here right now.

You are not even worthy of being called a troll mate. Sehwag flat track bully? In that case what would Hayden then become??

Hayden actually made runs in difficult conditions. Something that Sehwag has never done because all of his hundreds have come from draws.

3 wins, 3 losses, 9 draws.

Not exactly sure what you mean out of those? (As always)
Not once has he scored a 100 in a low-scoring match. Hayden has scored several hundreds where under 1,000 runs have been scored in the entire match.

That's the difference between Hayden and Sehwag. Hayden is way ahead and always will be.
