Just been having a random chat with a mate of mine jibbing bull**** about the WCW days before it closed and all of the wrestlers. Want to find out if I am the only one here who used to absolutely love Disco Inferno. God knows why, such a failure at life, but the whole thing cracked me up. When he used to strut to the ring and do his awful dancing but look so pleased with himself and like a dodgy mafioso extra from the goodfellas or something. Aahahaha, just thinking about it kills me. He was a legend. Not as much of a legend as Norman Smiley, but close.

Sad news coming in saying that Andrew 'Test' Martin has been found dead in his apartment. This is very sad news and the wrestling industry has lost another very talented performer.

My sympathies go out to Andrew Martin's family and friends at this time.

wtf, that's so random. He can't have been that old yet either. So gutted, always enjoyed his in ring work. :(

Oh, man, horrible news. RIP, a real loss.

Test was really popular during parts of the Attitude Era. He might not have had the best in-ring skills, but he had the look that Vince loves and he could carry off his gimmick. Another tragedy hits wrestling. :(

I hope the WWE at least acknowledges his death on RAW next week, he deserves it.

They've rarely dropped the ball on someone like they did with the Mr. Imunity gimmick. And in the McMahon-Helmsley Era.

RIP.

Anyone know what the cause was?
Steroids!

Nah apparently he had a drink problem so couple that with serious steroid abuse (looked a completely different person on his comeback, freakish muscle mass added, bad facial acne, loss of hair and worse backacne then Triple H) and a high protein diet, that isn’t going to help ones liver or indeed heart. I live merely on a high protein diet and my liver enzymes are elevated above the norm but stick drink and human (or Eddie Guerrero animal) growth hormones onto ones diet and it would be off the Richter scale. Interested to see what did kill him...

Surprised at how young he was given I remember watching him almost ten years ago.

The guy oozed zero charisma. He was involved in ‘huge’ storylines of the day and he still couldn’t get over. A poor mans Diesel.

Watch WrestleMania X-Seven again, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the size of the pop for his entrance. Bit unfair to say he never got over. He never had that much talent, but plenty of talentless guys have gotten over in the past.

WrestleMania looks pretty ****ing horrid now.
Yeah, they've absolutely ruined it. The build for Triple H-Orton has gotten ****ing ridiculous, the Triple Threat build is just as bad, Mysterio vs JBL is going to have virtually no build and will almost certainly be a poor match, and Jericho vs The Legends is, honest to God, probably the biggest example of botching an angle that I have ever seen, even worse than the 'Vince's illegitimate son' angle.

I, and every other WWE fan in the world, deserve better than to be expected to pay to see three men who are in or near their 60s take on one of the top talents in the business in a high profile match.

If I was Chris Jericho, I'd be feeling horribly mistreated right now. It's embarrassing that he would have to go through this.

The Money in the Bank match is looking poor, too - God knows what possessed them to put Kane and Henry in there instead of Kendrick and Kennedy. The only things they've done right in the buildup so far are Undertaker vs HBK, and Hardy vs Hardy. Those are pretty much the only two matches I'm expecting to enjoy.

Absolutely spot on with the Jericho thing. I don't know if they planned for Austin to begin with or Hogan, but this is such a ****ing let down. Hell, even Lawler would be better and he'd damn sure deserve a WrestleMania match any way. HHH-Orton lost me completely when just four days after the whole "don't lay a hand on me until Mania" they just ignored it completely. And the Edge-Cena-Show is just blurgh. A love storyline headlining Mania? No thanks. It all just seems very cobbled together, and I get the feeling they were banking on other people being there and it didn't eventuate.

I hate MITB to start with purely because I hate the fact it is an 'every year' thing and all the WWE PPVs seem to have a gimmick these days. Kane AND Henry is a bit of overkill, but I don't mind your one big man in there every year. I'm just imagining Henry trying to bash the case down with a ladder.

But yeah, within a month I've got from **** excited to who gives a ****.

And Hardy-Hardy?! Really?! There's not much you can do with two guys who have no chemistry together, but the worst thing possible is to make it anything by an in-ring centric storyline. Seriously, two of the blandest talkers in the business and you have them in what is essentially a promo feud? Not a fan.

Completely agree with this post. The Chris Jericho vs The Legends storyline had to culminate in a match against Steve Austin at Wrestlemania. This is such a massive let down. I'm still hoping for a bit of a swerve and a surprise Stone Cold appearance, but that is looking extremely unlikely.

They've effectively ruined any excitement with Triple H vs Randy Orton because of stupid dramatic angles and I was not a fan of the entire Triple Threat concept at all. Wrestlemania has gone from a must see PPV to it doesn't really matter what happens.

I'm only excited by a Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels match and whether Christian wins MITB this year. The rest of the card doesn't really make a whole lot of sense now. It just goes to show what changing one storyline can do. There had to be a Chris Jericho vs Steve Austin match up this year. Too bad it's not going to happen because to see Jericho facing Austin in Houston, Texas would've been amazing.

Probably agree with you on Hardy vs Hardy but I'm still willing to give them a chance. Both have lifted their promo game in recent weeks and both have matured in the ring. I'm still hoping that it will be a fairly good match.

I disagree with you regarding MITB. I like the match and it often proves to be the sleeper match of the night that steals the show. I also like the fact that it's an annual prize and WWE get good mileage out of the MITB gimmick for the coming year. Plus it helps in elevating deserving mid card talent to the next level. As a Christian fan, I'm really looking forward to this match and I hope he wins and goes on to main event regularly in WWE.

As for Chris Jericho, it made the most sense if he faced Steve Austin and that too in Houston, Texas. I don't think Hogan was ever considered, but I'm really struggling to think why Austin couldn't have wrestled against Jericho at Wrestlemania. Austin maybe injured but Jericho is a fantastic performer and could have a fantastic match even with an injured Austin.

I'm just confused with this Wrestlemania card. It's not as good as I thought it would be.

This is the crux of it, really. I'm just horribly, horribly disappointed.

I'm also disappointed that the WWE made no on-air acknowledgement, not even a pre-show graphic, of the death of Andrew 'Test' Martin. Really wouldn't have been much trouble to go to, and it's hardly like that would have harmed their image with regard to the obvious steroid implications of his death.

Don't they usually do one of those "those we've lost" packages at Wrestlemania or is that my memory playing tricks on me? Probably saving it for that if that is the case, but I might be crazy as well.

Either way yeah just an echo of everyone else really, gone from being ridiculously stoked for this to not really caring. The Whole Edge/Cena/Show/Vickie thing is the weirdest **** ever. I really can't comprehend how or why they think this is a good way to build a Wrestlemania main event. Or that this match is even WM main-event level worthy. It would have been way better off if they'd have had it Edge/Cena, even if we have seen it all before. And this weeks Raw only made things far more confusing imho, the whole thing is messed in the head.

Then the Jericho angle, ugh, so failridden. Whole thing has turned into this Wrestlemania's media circus with this Rourke feud they got going on. If the Jericho/Rourke match had actually gone ahead I wouldn't have cared 'cause it probably would have been a lot better than that ghetto **** with Donald Trump but at this rate it looks like it's going to be Jericho carrying a load of Jeri-atrics and Mickey Rourke to do a crappy jump over the rails and stomp on Jericho for a bit. tbf Y2J probably blagged himself a bit, seeing as I'd imagine he is one of the few guys the WWE would feel confident enough to let wander about in the mainstream media shows playing his character without looking like a freak and being actually able to get himself over on "proper" TV, so I don't really feel surprised about the whole thing. Just a bit gutted that this is going to be a nothing Wrestlemania for Jericho when he's on such a roll as of late.

Still, will be watching purely for HBK/Undertaker, is going to be so very awesome.
