Anyone else think the hype around Jamal Idris is bordering on ridiculous even by modern media standards? He's played 4 games and is only 18 years old, and already he's Rugby Leagues savior?

Has there really been that much written/said about him? He's certainly doing well but I dont think theres been anywhere near as much made of him as the likes of Inu/Marshall/SBW etc...

Mostly just the Australian going gaga over him. "Can this man save Rugby League?" was the headline I believe (on the front page no less) .

Obviously the media love a good headline, but it's pretty ridiculous even by their standards.

Honestly could watch these two teams play every game - they both have a crack and play off their head. Better than the structured, no-risk **** from most clubs, where the commentators are left doing loads because a 6 foot 5 inch tall winger catches a bomb to score.

I put $50 on the Bunnies making the top 8 @ $4.50.

Enjoyed the game last night, Raiders just ran out of legs from all the tackling. Surprised that they didnt go to the video ref for the second tuiaki try, was the turning point in the match imo.

Yeah I agree Simon, it was a big call. In general though I liked the confidence that the refs showed throughout the round. The Carney vs Tuiaki battle was terrific, Carney is a tank!

I agree its good to see the Refs backing themselves and making a decision. I wouldnt be surprised if this weekend was the lowest ammount of try decisions refered to the video ref since they brought it in. However I think everyone watching could see there was at least some doubt so they should have gone upstairs.
