Lords'll be a draw, last time there was a result there was when McGrath had that spell of pure brilliance in the 1st innings, destroying the England top-order with some fantastic seam bowling, and I don't think any of the Australian bowlers are capable of a spell as good as that, and England certainly won't bowl Australia out for 190 this time. So that'll be a draw.

So that leaves it to 4 Tests, one of which will almost certainly be rain affected leading to another draw. I can see England winning at Headingley and possibly at The Oval as well, so I see a 2-1 win for England.
Australia ALWAYS win at Lords. We'll certainly win there this time.

EDIT: Well sometimes we draw, but in 8 matches in the 80s, 90s, and 00s, we've won 5 and drawn 3. I'd back us to win there, if anywhere.

England got South Africa to follow on at Lords, but they then managed to bat out a couple of days, with several players making hundreds to draw the game. Ian Bell made 199 there against Steyn, Ntini, Morkel, Kallis and Harris, there won't be a result at Lords, unless the pitch has drastically changed over the winter. I guess we'll see when England play the West Indies there.

Was thinking that maybe England may need to search thru Victoria's second XI to find some fast bowlers for the series, to follow in the illustrious footsteps of Mullaly and McCague.
So for the England selectors here's a list in ranking order of Victoria's Pacemen:

1. Siddle
2. Nannes
3. McKay
4. Harwood
5. Wright
6. McDonald
7. Hastings
8. Gilmour
9. Pattinson's Little Brother
10. Pattinson

And this is not based on my opinion either. It is based on selections made this season.

However while I understand this list may not go deep enough to satisfy England's selection requirements, I have not been following Grade Cricket closely enough to be of further asssistance.

cheers

Australia 2-0 maybe 2-1 with England winning a dead rubber. England's attack is frankly weak and Australia's isn't great, especially on the roads they'll get at Lords and the Oval. Weather is bound to ruin at least one match, probably Cardiff. I anticipate a pretty high scoring series, Pietersen to score runs, Ponting mountains of em, this medium fast up and downs stuff is his favourite meal.

England no chance, Aussies young guns will be far too strong for the 6th ranked nation in the world. We have it over them in every department except the spin bowling and i expect Mcgain could be better than Swann and Panasar if given a game.

Siddle and Clark to tear through the poms soft batting order. Hughes to continue on and Hussey to re-emerge as a star of world cricket. Pieterson and Flintoff to be caught out on the piss and urinating in public ala Brendan Fevola.
