I've bowled to a few of the girls before. They are usually pretty good technically and that, but they just can't hit the ball off the square.

Although some are in a different class. Remember watching Belinda Clark smoke a mate of mine everywhere in a net session; he bowls OK wheels.

Really? Have good hopes for England then. We have quite a few batsmen who score plenty of boundaries, from what I've seen watching before.

From what I've seen, it's like comparing men's tennis to women's tennis. Men's tennis is more about quick points and heavy serves and women's tennis is more counter-punching and consistency. Both are played differently but it's still high quality tennis.

I don't think I've seen one ball go through a gap in the off side yet, and I've watched about 30 overs.

Saw Sarah Taylor hit a fantastic cover drive. Most of Raj's boundaries were square of the wicket. Saw a fantastic six over backward point. I didn't see much of the England innings because I had to go to bed, but there was some fantastic timing in there.

I managed to catch my first Women's game last night, and was pleasantly surprised. Isa Guha is hot, and is also a very decent bowler, gets some good swing and movement off the deck. Mithali Raj batted really nicely for India as well, very strong through the cover point region.

Nice to see Claire Taylor getting some runs as well, she looked different class. Nice to see her using the same bat as me as well =D Gotta love the G&M Icon!

Thought Jhulan Goswami looked like a fine bowler. Great approach and action and able to bowl a good leg cutter.

I thought the majority of the India top order was embarrasingly leaden footed (when they weren't backing to leg, cross batted and with heads way away from the line. Really poor against disciplined if slow bowling.

Good to see our bowling continues to look strong. Though however good Holly Colvin is, you have to wonder how someone can bowl 10 overs for 8 runs! The main worry for England at the moment is their batsmen haven't really come under any pressure yet.

Also, good to see Ellyse Perry start to contribute for Australia. There's been so much hype around her I was a bit worried if the pressure was getting to her in the first couple of matches. It would be so good for the women's game to see someone like her with so much publicity become a bit of a star.

Im guessing it cant make money

I would imagine it costs money. The crowd seem to have quite a lot of local school-kids in and I don't think the TV would pay a lot to show it as the audiences are probably quite small.

ESPN-Star paid money for all ICC events ....they could allocate a small percentage for this it should take care of all expenses i think

Definitely agree. Great to see her put in some good performances. Seems a really mature and grounded person for someone her age too. Will be following her career with interest.

Super Sixes should be interesting. New Zealand - England game could prove crucial.

Yes, definitely with there being no semi-final. You'd have to think it's two from England, Aus, NZ in the final the way the teams have been playing. Whoever wins the NZ-England game tonight has one foot in the final.
