We have a choice of selecting Keith Miller, Vinoo Mankad or Tony Grieg at no.6. Sobers is already in the team. My choice of pacers and spinners here would depend on who I am going to choose over there.

Should we not conduct that poll first then?

I'm split between Lindwall and Davidson TBH. Chandrasekhar for spinner for sure and I think Miller coming in for that all-rounder spot will make it a very balanced attack.

Miller
Lindwall/Davidson
Lillee
Trueman
Chandrasekhar

I chose Davidson, it may be good to have a left armer in the team

The spinner was a hard one, but I went Laker, the Aust team in 1958-59 wanted to teach him a lesson, but only ended up respecting the quality of his bowling even more:)

Yeh, I picked Davidson for that variation but Chandra instead of Laker.

going to choose benaud and laker here. lillee and trueman will handle the new ball. miller will be the third seamer. sobers can also bowl seam up if necessary. want laker for his accurate, classy spin bowling. apart from bowling quality legspin benaud can also be handful as a lower order batsman and lead the team too.

Sobers is already in.

Lindwall and Benaud for mine.

Whenever you have the choice between an English finger spinner and an Australian wrist spinner, there is no choice.

It would be hysterical if Lindwall and Davidson got the vote to join Lillee, Trueman and Miller...............................................leaving the spinning role to Sobers.

We already have 3 and a half bowlers in Trueman, Lillee, Miller and Sobers...If we need two more bowlers then one of them must be a bowling all-rounder (Benaud)...I would prefer the other one to be a leftie quick for variety...And seeing that a class like Davidson is available, I have no hesitation in voting for Davidson and Benaud...

Except when he is a RA bowler as compared to a LA and he is the best off spinner that England ever produced:)

Laker and Benaud. Sobers can take up the 4th (and left arm) seam option, which was, in any case, his better bowling skill.

G.I.Joe

Johnston (because no one else will vote for him) and Chandrasekhar (because Sobers is nowhere near good enough to take on the mantle of sole spinner in an all time side). This way we have two spinning options to put up a fight against the Post Packer XI on a turning track. Wouldn't mind Benaud ahead of either of them too.

BTW, Ikki, why Chandra ahead of Benaud?
