I'll be honest, Lineker was one of my early footballing heroes. When I started watching football all the time he was the 2nd best striker around (after Aldridge, who I haven't picked on my team as I assumed 'Bradman's law' was in effect for this draft )

Likewise, you'll notice a very early-90s feel to my side with Weah and Cantona up front. Those are the players that I was in awe of when i was tiny(er). Maybe I'd make an effort to overcome that bias if it was a cricket draft, but how good a footballer is/was is a lot more down to personal opinion so i didn't bother.
