Ton for ABdeV. Should've gone in the 90s, but has been great effort with the tail.

Never had any issues with width of DCYE's posts from any of the comps I log on with FTR.

I think Johnson will certainly be next reall gun oz cricketer.

I take alot of stock when looking at young bowlers on how good their fielding and batting are. If the rest of their game is good then it shows that they learn good, are naturally talented athletes and not one trick ponies (Tait anyone?). Anyways I liked Johnson the first time I saw him field.

Have Australia enforced the follow-on at all since losing after putting Laxman and co. back in?

Waugh always enforced it (Jo'burg 2001/02, MCG 2002/03), Ponting has only done it once (Wellington 2004/05, when time had already been lost to rain).

Oh well. Vintage Ponting.

I think it was the right call. All comes down to the urgency in the batting.

If rain is a factor: a bat hard->rains->declare->bowl fresh... strategy
is in my opinion more likely to get a result than
sending SA back in with tired bowlers and possibly facing nervous small chase on wet pitch

But then again...................
