Poor Youth Players?

I just got ICC 3 on playstation and I've played a few seasons already. But I'm having trouble with my teams youth players. I only ever get one per season coming through the ranks, and they are always poor. And I'm putting the full amount on youth coaching. How do I get better players. My brother has it on computer and seems to get atleast 2-3 players per season and there is always one very good player.

Not sure tbh but new players might generate differently on ps and pc, perhaps something to do with hard disk/memory card etc. Had ICC 01 on psx and there weren't too many regens iir. Quality is just luck I've found.

The more players that retire at the end of the season the more youth players you get

Often its just down to the luck of the draw - sometimes in the past I've had season after season with $50k youth coaching and received very few quality youths, and others I've had the amount much lower and had youths come through my county, or taken them from others, of a much higher quality. Wouldn't know if theres a slightly different method of producing youth players on Playstation compared to PC though.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
How is ICC to play on a console, anyway? As in terms of control. Always found management-sim type games on consoles slightly annoying to play.

I used to have ICC 2001 Ashes on Playstation, and it works that same way as the computer versions do in terms of moving and clicking the mouse to control all the aspects, except you obviously use the arrow keys and click the X-button (IIRC) on the controller.

Anyone else notice bowlers always have ridiculously good List A stats and shocking FC ones? Bloody annoying.
