What more can you say? ODI average above fifty with the bat and under 20 with the ball, didn't have his greatest night tonight, but he's just a slightly littlely flawed genius. WAG, proves everyone wrong. Loved him ever since that 50 in England tbh.

Combines clever God-like batting (he is a God after all), gun meidum pacers and gangly dashing good looks to be obviously the greatest player of all time.

Here's to the awesomest player in ze world!

8-)

Seriously. Let him have another series, and let's go for it.

I like this guy. But unless he converts his ODI stats into something above Chris Martin territory (batting
) in tests, I don't think he deserves cult status unlike O'Brilliant.

Yes Grant Elliot Has Had A Good Start To His Career ( In ODI'S) But Mike Hussey Was Doing The Same Thing For Ages. Elliot Is A Good Batsman But Needs To Improve In Test Matches. Yes I Know Hes Only Played 3 ( I think)

No Need To Capitalise Every Word GilchristFtw. It Adds Nothing To Your Post, But Is Kinda Distracting.

Sad to think that there is probably a few people out there who think that...

Had a tough day at the office today. Understand he's from South Africa.

Should be playing for England, by rights then. Must be infringing some kind of copyright surely...?

Have you tried getting over your massive ego? He is clearly not being that serious.
Not sure what my ego has do to with Grant Elliott...

But I kind of gathered the post was a piss take but it looks like you could be one of the people I was referring to. 8-)

Yeah, I'm a fan. He's amongst my favourite NZ players along with Franklin, Sinclair, Vettori and McCullum.

The guy has prove people here wrong who despite his God-like OD stats was calling for his head in the Windies OD series for FLYNN of all people... 100% agree with Flem, Elliot has really made the most of what little resources he has. I know people don't want to see him anywhere near the NZ test squad, just like to know why though?

Because you come across as very arrogant and you love to take shots at the New Zealand team. Yeah we're not as good as South Africa, we know that already.

Just seems to be one of those players. I think it was PEWS who worked out his domestic records for NZ only (discounting SA). In List A he averaged 49 with the bat and low 20s with the ball, and in FC his stats have been very mediocre, he's had his moments (ridiculous big innings to get Wellington into the FC final iirc, and getting 3 for **** all against England in a warm up) but he doesn't seem very good at FC cricket.

That has also translated to tests, I'm not sure why he can't do it, but at least for now he should remain an ODI specialist, where he is gunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Have never come across an NZ player who isn't likeable, to be honest. Maybe Fleming - a bit of a smug smartass.

Elliot has suprised me, his bowling also is very good for One day cricket, suprising Vettori just gave him 2 overs in that final game.

He would make a nice number 5 for test cricket sometime.

Back to NZ cricketers being likeable ever since Nash and Parore everybody else has been likeable to me.

MNS, before you even bother posting, leave the cult. Grant Elliott is too good for you, bow down and grovel.

I will sign up to the cult of Grant Elliott.

Where do people see him in the batting order: 5, 6 or 7?
