I'm wondering what we do with Hads if he scores a century here, and then another on Friday. The really good thing about him opening is that he takes away half the opening problem and also opens up a place in the lower order for another batsman, possibly David when everyone returns from injury. Quite a Gilchristian luxury.

Ian Smith tends to be our representative in England and Australia, am not 100% sure why hes not there this tour - might have something to do with Sky NZ requiring him to commentate the domestic Twenty20 games in New Zealand.

They didn't want him for the Tests earlier in the season either though.

The Australian running over the last year has been horrible. Was awful in India, in particular.

Hope Dussey doesn't lose his concentration due to that run-out, he is timing the ball sweetly and should now look to build on this start he has got, looking forward to a good partnership between the Husseys.
