Nz should take the batting powerplay right now, if they lose one more wicket here it really won't be of much use then.

Most frustrated I've been watching for some time NZ tbh, not just because of the score of 5/145, but the lack of intent they've shown the whole innings. Just happy to block deliveries to the fielders. Surely they would have learn't from Australia's approach batting first the other day when they were proactive in putting the NZ bowlers off their lines

Bracken over the wicket. Just hope now he flings them down without many slower ones. Should be a wicket.

They are right in doing infact but they would not have lost too many wickets..

Their initial plan was to post something above 260+ and if they can do, they can put brakes to Aussie batting with good bowling....thats what their plan..

But, they lose too many wickets.. that made things difficult

Again Hilfy bowled two very good balls and was getting the ball to reverse, but out of nowhere he felt the urge to use that slower ball, why can't he just bowl balls that are working well for him, rather than trying to show off all his variations in a single over.

NewZealand has been spot on with the batting powerplay is concerned. Many teams were facing lot of problems with the timing of batting powerplay. Since, its introduction, NZ have utilized well than any other team till now...

Despite the fact that he's beaten him, and on any other ground in Australia he's taken a wicket?

Reconditioned was too hard to type.
Its hardly a reconditioned ball, its just a new ball that gets scrubbed by sand-paper, Lee once said a lot of times these balls that are given to them after 35th overs still have ball markers name written on it, so its virtually a new ball with the lacquer taken off it.

EDIT: Hilf deserved that wicket.

Broom had no idea today. Rough diamond. Hasn't looked the batsman he could/hopefuly will be this series, has been unlucky but getting a lot of starts and not converting.

Yeah, I only really see him as a finisher at this stage, although he did play a good innings in the first ODI under pressure.
