**Official** New Zealand in Australia

Your kidding right, Elliott has just about the opposite attributes to Cairns as a batsman  Amazing what some people say in the spare of the moment
You are looking at the style of Play and comparing them..

but I was referring to the vacancy present after Cairns has retired from NZ side..Elliot definitely fills in to it

Hopefully somehow we can chase today, can't stand to watch another dire bowling performance defending.

Oram much?

Elliott is a combo of Styris and Harris.

Anyway, this is a pretty God-like NZ team, Elliot averaging over 100, Guptill over 50 (possibly 60), best ODI spinner, 2nd/3rd best seamer, Iain O;Brilliant, and its not even full strength. :p

Tbh I think Aus will win today. They're getting the team rebuilt a bit and ours is all injured with a keeper-nonbatsman, jorneyman opener (in form though) a completely useless bits and pieces player that obviously they mistook for his CD team mate Thompson, and a talented but innacurate and raw 19 year old seamer in the reserves.

Likely team for today.

Guptill
McCullum (specialist batsman)
Fulton
Taylor
Broom
Grant "Bradman" Elliott
Hopkins
Millsssssssss
Vettori
Southee
O'Brilliant

If McCullum can't play at all, I'd suggest Fulton opening, Taylor at three and Cumming at four, where he's been doing the damage for Otago.

Really missing BFJ, Piggy, and Oram.

The least Australia can do is play the blonde Marshall.

Would like to see Siddle in for White, and Voges for Dussey. Suspect the only change we'll see (if any) is Siddle for Hilfenhaus though.

Agreed on Siddle for White, but I'd be inclined to give Dave one last chance. I don't reckon he's got long left if he keeps his form up, though, when you consider his age.

But his BIG problem is he doesn't rotate the strike and find singles. It frustrates the hell out of me watching him bat, actually.

It puts major pressure on the other batsmen.

He just needs that one breakthrough innings and i think you'll see a new D Hussey. At domestic level he makes a living off rotating the strike and getting the occasional boundary. He often reaches a milestone without anyone noticing.

I wonder if White will be playing today. Apparently he's lost several family friends in the Victorian fires. Very sad :(

EDIT. Misread the story.

I think he might've been talking about Fulton. Not sure, though.
