*Official* England in West Indies

If Panesar doesn't take a hat full, there seriously have to be questions asked. He's had awesome success against this opposition before who also struggled against Vettori very recently, the pitch has turned sharply since the first morning and England look like posting a decent (albeit not awesome) first innings score. He really couldn't ask for much better circumstances to bowl in.

Thought Windies would wrap up England within 250 yesterday. Anyway, chances still there if they get them within 350.
Starting the day I thought 320 was par and I still do.

2 quick wickets or a few lusty blows the difference between good and ordinary.

So how is Harmison going to go then? I really have no idea, I am still not at all convinced that he should be in the side but we will just have to wait and see.

If the Windies innings is anything to go by, he should be given 5 overs with the new ball and then be sent out to graze until the next one.

Expect to see plenty of KP with ball in hand later in the day.

What is your opinion of Chris Gayle's off-spin? I have had little to catch of this game, but having seen the giant over the years and looking at the stats, he's done a job well for his team.

I do rate Gayle as a bowler. Similar to Virender Sehwag except not capable of getting as much turn. Very handy indeed in the absence of a true all-rounder.

Yep he's a handy bowler in this sort of situation, and probably a genuine all-rounder in one day cricket. In this respect he's a bit like Jayasuriya (not that their actual bowling styles are particularly similar).
