During the bowling+batting powerplay, Praveen and Zaheer both bowled at about 75mph consistently and extremely full- about half of the balls they bowled were full tosses. Was this a plan or was it just coincidental shocking bowling from both at the same time?

A comprehensive thrashing for Sri Lanka. Some real issues, all around, for the boys to sort through over the next couple of years.
There is a distinct gulf now between the sides, in terms of players and as a team. 5 - 0 looks almost certain.

SL losing like this at home doesnt happen often, shows the sorry state of Lanka cricket. I hope the team can come up with fresh ideas, I am not sure if their minds are on some other matter, the bowling is medium pace, Fernando is a big goose wasting all that big frame.
Batting cannot get it happening all at once. I predict we will stay 7th for the whole year i can take that as long as we can reach semi finals of the world cup and champions trophy.

Serious questions re-Sri Lankan cricket:
- Bowling attack: When are the pointless bowling selections going to stop? Selecting Kulasekara in any cricket team is a defensive option. Its saying: we don't have the guts to pick a real bowler, so we'll pick a guy who shouldn't go for many, nor do we have the stones to select proper batmen but this bloke can hold a bat. Selecting Fernando in any bowling attack is inevitably going to blow up in your face.
Obviously we're missing Malinga, but there are a number of good bowling prospects who deserve a looking in, ie. Chanaka Welegedara (quality left arm swiming bowler who bowls at a decent click who has performed every time he's been given an opportunity for SL), Angelo Mathews or Ishara Amerasinghe.
- Captaincy: Jayawardene's needs to fall on his sword in the ODI's at least. He has shown zero leadership in the limited over format for sometime. Where was the imagination? Why wasn't he counseling his bowlers and offering them advise? Maybe "rest" Mahela for the rest of the series and see what Sangakkara can do.
- Batting: Its time for a clean break. Jayasuriya needs to step aside for the sake of the future. The cricketing public are being fooled every time Jayasuriya puts runs on the board. Finding a new opener isn't going to be easy but its like achieving an economy of scale - it'll cause of a lot of frustration initially but results will come eventually. Jayawardene needs to sort himself out. Kandambi and Kapugedera can't bat 5 and 6 in the same team.
- Fielding: What the hell happened? We used to be the best Asian fielding team!
- Coaching: Bayliss had his chance. He's been given a long tenure to show his colours as a coach and he's not performed. We need to find a new coach.

Malinga is back for the 20/20 game, they are resting Sanga, Mahela mendis and Murali so obviously they want to lose 6-0.
I agree its time for change for Sri lanka, Sanga has waited long enough he hasnt even captained us in a international give him 2 years.
Sanath time to say goodbye when you are in form. Because it will be for the greater good not because he is not performing.

Obviously that helps, but you can say that about any captain. He has a team with both considerable strengths and considerable weaknesses and he gets the best out of it. Who would you say is better?
