Have to disagree, if we took the powerplay with haddin and hussey in and we lost a wicket we could have been more conservative , but leaving the powerplay with so much to do with the bowlers was just a recipe for disaster. In the end, when they took the powerplay isn't what is to blame. It's the shots that the batsmen played in the powerplay that are to blame. From 5/SFA, it wasn't the worst time to take it.
C9 commentators have to try and keep people interested for ratings purposes. On a sidenote, if we pool all our straws do you think we'll have enough for C9 to clutch?
"Australia are still in this"
If Bracken gets five yes.
You're a joke.Fully expecting NZ to take advantage of this with a 10 wicket win, anything less would be disappointing. Hoping McCullum to fire so we can have some entertaining play otherwise it's just gonna be a drab 10 overs from Bracken (who I might add in ODI mode has lost the will to take wickets), an unfit, wayward and unthreatening Tait and a spray it around Johnson.
Johnson should play as the all-rounder instead of hopes in Watsons absence.Promote Mitchell Johnson up the order!
Either way, too many top/middle order batsmen gone for an effective powerplay.Have to disagree, if we took the powerplay with haddin and hussey in and we lost a wicket we could have been more conservative , but leaving the powerplay with so much to do with the bowlers was just a recipe for disaster.
I love how commentators and spectators like to second-guess the hawkeye.Haha, the predicted element of hawk-eye is a joke, that was Plumb
Yep agreed, it was always going to be a gamble if it did work.Either way, too many top/middle order batsmen gone for an effective powerplay.
It's too hard to comment on it, when we're making assumptions about the plans. They may have been going to take the powerplay the next over before Haddin went out.Have to disagree, if we took the powerplay with haddin and hussey in and we lost a wicket we could have been more conservative , but leaving the powerplay with so much to do with the bowlers was just a recipe for disaster.
It's true though, he's just switched to changing paces, bowling hard to hit (but not necessarily aggressive lines and lengths) which rely on the batsman to hit. Not saying he's doing a bad job, just with the way he's going about it's more a containing mentality with first priority keeping the runs down, second priority taking wickets. You're a joke.
Bracken to prove you wrong.
