Cricket Team Draft - ODI edition

G.I.Joe

International Coach
Puppy dog face > Computer nerd IMO. I'd pick Hogg over Vettori. I had Hogg pencilled in as my spinner right from the start, his absence has totally screwed up the balance of my side.

Don't understand the fuss about Vettori. Average of 30 iirc. He's not bad, but he's far from a 'must-pick' imho.

He came online, looked at five hundred different threads, I messaged him, goes offline. Pretty damn poor commitment.

My second last choice is Umar Gul. Already has 83 ODI wickets in 54 matches at an average of 25. Will be awesome at the death as well.

Will be interesting to see if you get a keeper batsmen that can open. I guess Chanderpaul can open you could have a keeper batting as low as 8 if you want.

Nnanden - and I mean this in the nicest possible way - chill the **** out. I was pretty pissed off last weekend when I missed my go looking after a mate down Accident & Emergency. If you'd called it "Pretty damn poor commitment" then I would have hunted you down and ripped out your spleen. Pretty damn rude considering you have no idea what the guy's up to.

Grant Flower what a hero! See what I'm doing here?

Interested in seeing what opening bat you go for HDS or what batting lineup you'd actually go for if batting second chasing a good 260 plus score.

Hmm..
1 Gayle 2 Anwar 3 Richards 4 xxxx 5 Symonds 6 Lloyd 7 Oram 8 [keeper] 9 Lillee 10 De Villiers 11 Chatfield.

or..

1 Gayle 2 Anwar 3 Richards 4 Lloyd 5 Symonds 6 Oram 7 [keeper] 8 [bowler/handy lower order bat] 9 Lillee 10 De Villiers 11 Chatfield

Shahid Afridi would have been a very gun number 7 or 8 for my side actually.

Dazza is up.

Also what should we do with Jamee?

I think we should let the person after Jamee pick straight away and not wait the 12 hours.
