And NZ kicked England's ass just quietly.

And Bangladesh nearly beat us....

And Zimbabwe beat them...

Zimbabwe > Australia?

By that logic, I'm going with yes.
You just had to bring logic into it! Well maybe he doesn't want to be logical.

It's possible that Australia could still win here, just worth noting. 250 is possible if these two stay in. SA obviously heavy favourites but it's not over yet.

If Streak and the Flower bros were still playing...

I'd back them to win 1 or two ODIs in five tbh.

This is some of the worst bowling in the series in this period... and Hopes still can't find the gaps. :(

But you always predict Aussie victories. :p

Yeah if Hopes and White use their brains and bat the rest of the innings they have a chance.

Injuries have created opportunities and it's disappointing to see experienced players fall short of the mark despite perfect conditions all series and playing a South African side that havent been all that flash of late either

I do have sympathy for White because he is ALWAYS played out of position but guys like Dussey and Hopes etc just dont look up to it

Given the vacancies in the test team, I'd prefer to see them blood a few of the younger guys who are performing at fc level (i.e. not Warner) to give them international exposure and attempt to create a base for the future
Agreed, it's time to rebuild. Similar situation happening with NZ cricket right now, albeit Australia still being a stronger side. Rather than hoping the ICC change their decision on Bond & praying the likes of Oram, Styris & Franklin are fully fit, Its probably a good thing to blood a few of these young guys & look to the future. Like-wise with Australia. With the depth of talent you have there, I doubt it will be long before you have a dominant team again.

Stop trolling.
I'm not trolling at all. I really and truly believe that England will smash this current Australian side in July and it will be good for the game both here and over there.

Am I not allowed to state such an opinion?

Have to admit a big positive of playing south africa is that it makes aussie selectors accountable for dumb selections. They have been desperately looking for an allrounder since 2005 and have thrown in these all-round pretenders, when they would have been better served playing the better batsmen or bowler than the mediocre batsmen that can bowl a few pies.
What they forget is that Australia never had a true all rounder when they were at their best.

Totally agree, I don't think this is good for warner. I think we are so used to players taking their opportunities that makes this so frustrating.

As much as people are flapping on about strike rate, we need a middle order batsmen to hang around for a few overs, not just get out to a stupid shot.
We are playing a 20/20 specialist side in a ODI, its no real surprise players are struggling to build innings.
Would he be dropped for the CH, i think if Clarke comes in he will be out ? Would like to see Phil Hughes play, but then we are all annoyed with too many changes/tampering from the selectors, so we should give these players the CH to prove themselves. It's just a shame we don't have the usual 3-4 rocks in the team anymore to take the pressure of them.

Aussies can get to 250 here if White clicks. And if they get rid of Amla, and Gibbs, within 5 overs for less than 20, I''d back Aussies to pull this off.

Anyway, right now, I've started googling for a good avatar for Pasag.

No but they had probably the best leg spinner of all time, the best opening pace bowler of all time and one of the greatest opening batting partnerships of all time.

The rest kind of fell into place.

Trouble is that everyone believed that we had the replacements just because we were Australian. Feels a bit like the Don getting out for a duck in his last innings. No-one, and no team, is bigger than the game.

Saying this stuff once or twice is ok, but doing it this often it's pretty clear you're only trying to get a rise out of Australian supporters. If you continue doing that you'll be banned pretty quickly.
