At least Aussie posters can be safe in the knowledge that somewhere out there in troll hell bond21 is about to commit suicide. :D

Take a bow Johan. :) Great figures.

There hasn't been a one sided game during this series so I expect there to be a few more twists and turns to come. Bit of swing on offer early on, Tait could be a handful.

Any team that has all three of Hopes, Haddin and White in the top 8 deserves to lose heavily. Hopes appears to be selected as a specialist bowler now. Ridiculous.

Richie Benaud observed that there is some water logged due to which the outfield is slow early on but predicted that it will only get better and better with the hour. Not good news for Aus.
In light of this (and the fact that they've hardly been impressive defending) why did they bat?

Isn't this the same SA ODI side that lost 4-0 to England? And would have been 5-0 but for the weather?

The ashes are gone.

What would be a good score here for Aus?

Best case senario, get to 200 by the 43-45th without losing a wicket and then try to get to 250.

Injuries have created opportunities and it's disappointing to see experienced players fall short of the mark despite perfect conditions all series and playing a South African side that havent been all that flash of late either

I do have sympathy for White because he is ALWAYS played out of position but guys like Dussey and Hopes etc just dont look up to it

Given the vacancies in the test team, I'd prefer to see them blood a few of the younger guys who are performing at fc level (i.e. not Warner) to give them international exposure and attempt to create a base for the future
Totally agree, I don't think this is good for warner. I think we are so used to players taking their opportunities that makes this so frustrating.

As much as people are flapping on about strike rate, we need a middle order batsmen to hang around for a few overs, not just get out to a stupid shot.
We are playing a 20/20 specialist side in a ODI, its no real surprise players are struggling to build innings.

And NZ kicked England's ass just quietly.

And Bangladesh nearly beat us....

And Zimbabwe beat them...

Zimbabwe > Australia?

By that logic, I'm going with yes.
