*Official* English Football Season 2008-2009

Apparently Madrid are prepared to match City's bid (wtf!). If they do, it's signed and sealed for Real.
I heard that they were putting in a 70m bid and around 180k a week, which would probably mean that it would still be more likely Real than Citeh.
Unless Madrid are planning some major sales it's hard to see where they're getting this money from - I know they sold Robinho but they've already spent £55-60 million this season on Van Der Vaart, Huntelaar and Diarra. How after that have they still got enough for a world record signing - or has the Spanish Government given them another loan?

Dont need a loan

Pretty sure they share the same bank account

Meanwhile, it's bi-annual **** day on Merseyside today, and we get an extra one on Saturday just for fun! Woohoo!

Gerrard scores, sounds controversial

I'm gonna go and check my status updates, any bets on how many times I'll see the word "murderers"?

United really have a chance to push on now, looking more and more like theirs to lose with each passing round of games

United's title for me now. Only slight glimmer of hope is the thought that they usually start their run a little later than they have this season, so might hit a dodgy patch.

Tim Cahill was my favourite non-United footballer until tonight. Now he's the one man I would probably consider ***ual acts with. ****ing awesome, I'm enjoying the premiership so much these days.

Now that Kaka has turned them down Citeh must be odds on to go for Arshavin now. Zenit have played this out perfectly. ****s.

Dick Advocaat says otherwise

Kaka off. Hopefully we go for Villa.

EDIT: And Bellamy a Citeh player, might boycott....
Well your lot is about to sign Nigel de Jong, should be a decent signing I guess.

And IMO it is a good thing the Kaka deal is off (somehow I think there is another twist to this), I mean the whole transfer fee and wages is out of this world, especially in this climate, but how on earth would City really get their money back on such a large transfer fee?

In other transfer news, Fiorentina striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo is set to join West Ham as Craig Bellamy's replacement.
