I don't really think Rainsford should open the bowling in one dayers; he struggles to control the swing at times. He should definitely be in the team because he's by far the best quick available to Zimbabwe but I think he should bowl first change in one day games, personally.
Turned out to be a pretty awesome call, if I do say so myself.

New ball spell: 3-0-22-0
Current spell: 4-0-9-3

Despite clearly being a terrible batsman by international standards, Mubarak certainly doesn't seem to be one who crumbles under pressure. He's really got Sri Lanka out of some difficult situations (admittedly against poor opposition) lately.

Haha yeah, major jinx. Can't say I'm not happy about it though; go Zim!

Hahaha! Yet again, we struggle to score against Zimbabwe. But they won't go past Mendis and Murali on this pitch. Really like the look of this Mathews, very impressive batsman.

I am very pleased with the performances given out so far by the Zimbabwean team, not least for the impressive odds stacked against them.

edit: aaaaand as I snuck in and posted for the first time in years, Vusi Sibanda loses his wicket. Heh.

Yeah, just what i predicted. Zimbabwe thought they could beat us one day and yet they still cannot. Ajantha Mendis, there is simply no bowler in the world that can match his class.

Does anyone know why Utseya batted above Chigumbura and Dabengwa?
He's better player of good spin bowling than the other two, whose roles are mainly to get the run rate up towards the end of the innings. Sri Lanka countered that well by bringing back one of the medium pacers and getting him early, though.

I stopped watching after Hamilton got out trying to sweep the quick man.

However, congrats to Mendis on being the quickest man to 50 ODI wickets. :)

Would Brendon Taylor still get a game in this current Zim lineup? Played against him on the weekend, looked very front foot dependent, but looked OK. Didn't get many, and his keeping was pretty unimpressive.

Cool. Yeah Taylor is a front foot bully and renowned poor player of spin, he wouldn't fetch many out in Bangladesh I would have thought but his a better bet than Stuart Matsikenyeri.
