***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2008/09

Blakey

State Vice-Captain
Assumed he was a kiwi and couldn't be arsed trolling through the blackcaps website to find details as it's not overly user friendly.

Ingram & Sinclair are in great form while future black caps Watling and Williamson put Auckland away

Williamson for sure, I'm not completely convinced about Watling yet though. I'd have Guptill, Broom and possibly Hay ahead of him on the future Black Caps batsmen list for now.

I'm pretty convinced about Watling. Did you hear about him batting for over 10 hours and finally being out for 378 in the Hamilton 2-day club final? He has the ability to hit big scores and would fit into the national side pretty easily I reckon also being an agile fielder/gloveman, in time of course.

I think I've said this before, but I saw glimpses of Williamson playing for your U19s over here last summer and he looked a class above, certainly better than some of those in the full NZ side earlier in the summer.

Yeah, exciting prospect.

I've heard just as much said about Corey Anderson from Canterbury, sounds like he's another hugely talented bloke with a big future.

Yeah, but I guess you never know what can happen down the track with form/injuries. Having said that i'll reiterate Jungle Jumbo's above post and say that Williamson is definately a class above(if anyone wasn't already in the know). I remember reading about him in the paper when he was only 14 or 15 scoring century after century for his rep side BOP, and since then i've always kept an ear out for his name. Someone who can score that big, that consistently, in rep games when they are that young, is someone who has all the makings a very, very special player IMO

And George Worker finally breaks his run of 20's. Going on nicely at 80* with CD cruising to another win. And another failure for Jamie How. With Guptill making so many runs for Auckland, he really needs to pull finger and get a score in the next couple of matches.

For some reason Worker reminds me of Symonds batting wise.

Loving CDs form atm, we don't have many great years so I'm going to savour the season so far.

Sinclair is averaging over 100 in both forms of the game this summer and still doesn't get a look in and doesn't even appear to be close in the selectors eyes.

So poor the way he's got treated across his career by NZC IMO.
