Boxing day matches in the football league really are terrible. Today was the 3'rd or 4th time I have seen Brentford play on boxing day and they get worse everytime. Such a lethargic first half but we still managed to get three points so still happy. Massive game against Exeter next week, a win and we could really establish ourselves inside the automatic promotion places. Still I would be pretty happy with a draw

Ricky Sbragia confirmed as new Sunderland manager, for 18 months (or a few weeks with the way the Prem is).
Interesting. He's got a good rep for bringing talent thru, but it's always a big step up to be the man whose arse is on the line when things go pear-shaped.

Hardly a banner name to rival Keane either.

Much the same feeling in this camp - pretty confident after matching Wycombe if not having the better of it, despite a very soft penalty at Adams Park. Three points off you lot would be fantastic tomorrow: but a draw wouldn't be the end of the world - we do have the problem of ****ty home support.

So Hughes needs sacking does he? lets take a realisitc view. City are not going to be relegated this year and it is also unlikely that they will qualify for Europe. In light of this what is the point of sacking him at this stage. Why not let him spend some money and January and at least see what he does for the rest of the season before making rash judgements.

I like him and think he's a good manager tbh, hope he stays for a long time (however unlikely it is, surely the Sheikh's will be after a ridiculously high profile manager). But let's be honest, they've been ****ing terrible all season. I've watched every single City league game this season from the Sunderland game, and with a squad that was top 4 at this point last season (in fact, Zabaleta, Robinho, SWP and Kompany all in compared to only Corluka, Bianchi and Geovanni out is arguably even a better squad) they've been absolutely woeful. Whe wehit the bottom three, we absolutely deserved it. Some of the games have just been disgusting, away at Bolton and WBA? Bolton are an improved side no doubt, but watching those games (and many others) was just sickening as a fan.

I'm happy to see him stay, but IMO he'll be sacked at the end of the season regardless for a very high profile manager. With a massive contract waiting and unlimited transfer funds available, basically any manager in Europe would be tempted. He may as well go now, it allows the new manager to get a January window as well as an off-season to build his side.

I *think* it means Richards has the ahircut of a white man.

In non-related news, I had a dream last night that I went on a date with Chreyl Cole. It was special.
