Enjoyed the eliminator last night I think it's an interesting concept and better than the bowl off.

I don't think it's amazing hitting the stumps without a batter. It would be like kicking a football [soccer] into the goals from near halfway without a goalie or throwing a strike in baseball without a batter. Both meh achievements.

Eliminator - stays truer to the game (i.e. involves all aspects of the game rather than just bowling)

I would go for bowl outs the reason is its one ball each for 6 players .. thats why some miss ..even good bowlers cant get it on target first ball. i also would move this event at the start of all games .. this gives the umpire plus the teams to determine the bounce of the pitch etc... which ever team wins the bowl out then decides whether to bat or bowl.. in the case of a tied game the result win goes to the team that won the bowl out..
Lol. I wouldn't be able to take that seriously at the start of a day's play... It would become a joke IMO.

The eliminator over certainly gives a much fairer result as it actually resembles cricket on a basic level; the bowl-off in no way tries to determine who has the better cricket team in any capacity.

Both are pretty ordinary though; I'd much rather a tie. In the case of a final I'd just go with whichever team had the better record in the preliminary rounds.

6 hitting contest.

Ball must bounce and in the batsmans half.

A bowler bowls 6 balls to a teammate. The other team does the same. The batsman that his the most 6s wins.

If it is tied then it goes to sudden death.

More interesting than a bowl out. Half way between a penalty shoot out and a homerun contest.
It's funny.

I'd rather see a shared trophy than previous games decide a final. A final should only ever be decided by events on the day IMO. I would go in the following order:

1. Least wickets lost
2. Eliminator
3. Hell in a Cell
4. Bowl-out

I agree as long as both balls get bowled at the same time, ie one at each end. WOuld be scintilliating, and the fielding would be interesting.
