Players Who Should Give Up On Playing Test Cricket

He'd have a job being an IPL rebel as it's not a rebel competition, but I've been worried for a little while about the spectre of him chucking his lot in with the ICL. It's eminently understandable when you're treated as shabbily as he has been.
I know, but only one Englishmen played the IPL last season. I thought there were ramifications if they played for the IPL due to county clashes.

The only possible ramifications would be losing your place for your county. Which some might think would be a worthwhile sacrifice for the sake of playing in the IPL. Also if you're good enough to play for an IPL franchise you'd imagine you'd be good enough that your county simply wouldn't be able to afford to drop you however disaffected they were that you'd missed 4 or 5 early-season games.

Think the main problem was clashes with international fixtures rather than domestic ones TBH. Precious few non-international England players would have the profile or the ability to be IPL in-demand.

Steve Harmison.

I'd be glad to never see that waste of space in an England jersey again.
I learnt at least one axing ago - in fact very probably two - never, ever to expect that with Harmison. Everyone's stock rises when they're not in the side but Harmison more than most. He's someone who people always like the theory of what he brings to the side better than the actual reality.

In fairness, he's an awesome guy and I can see why many people'd want him to succeed and why people like having him around.
