Players Who Should Give Up On Playing Test Cricket

State Vice-Captain
& yet Bell seems immune to concerns about his place, regardless of actual output.

It's to Shah's credit he hasn't had a very public whinge about it, because it must piss him off.
Bell and Collingwood seem to get a score when talk about places in the team do arise. As for Shah, IPL or ICL rebel possibly? Probably not as he is a fixture in the colours for England.

Noffke for mine. If he wasn't selected after arguably one of the best domestic seasons in recent history, he never will be.
Forgot about him. After Bollinger, Tait, Geeves, Hilfenhaus and co have lept him, I think he won't play (ever).

Doug Bollinger and David Hussey.
Bollinger I feel will debut sooner than you think. Plus, he is relatively young. Not sure about D. Hussey though, I think if there is an injury to a middle order batsmen, he'd be one of the first to be on the list, although age and Watson don't help him.

Yeah, let's wait for the book I'm sure he'll have a good rant there!

He'd have a job being an IPL rebel as it's not a rebel competition, but I've been worried for a little while about the spectre of him chucking his lot in with the ICL. It's eminently understandable when you're treated as shabbily as he has been.

yeah, Shah debuted in India 06, played well, got one other chance when Vaughan was injured, fell in single figures both times, goodnight Vienna
Worth mentioning too that Shah only debuted when he did because Cook was injured... and Cook was only playing because Trescothick was ill.

Shah has never looked like being a first-choice.

Tharanga Paranavitana. I hope he gets a chance, but it does seem like he not seen as potential Test player. With Tharange and Udawatte both ahead of him and other in the middle order. Regardless of how much he is better technically and how many more runs he scores.

Who are Pronting, Pontgin, Hussay and Hooges? It's like cricket in a parallel universe.

If I had access to IP-addles I'd be checking the comparison with grapedo in the blink of an eyelid.
