Lawry finally speaks the truth, "Shot of the innings so far". Great shot from Amla. Have been impressed with his innings so far.

Please retire Bill Lawry! (haha, posted this at the same time as Mister Wright praises his comments :p)

All commentators in this match have highlighted the negative aspects of the captains, seems a bit reactive rather than proactive ATM.

Haha. As if any or them are going to retire.

It's the best job in the world. Watching cricket in air conditioned comfort while being paid hunreds of thousands of dollars not having to answer to anyone for poor standards. I can't think of many better jobs.

Some blokes are just lucky as well. Not that they don't have talent/ good attributes, just that they have a knack of getting wickets.

Botham used to do it all the time. He was a fine, fine bowler, but he'd get wickets with **** balls that would normally be put away.
Stuart MacGill comes to mind too.

Will be interesting to see how Amla fares against the spinner, as he has looked very solid against the pacemen.

Also, is it just me, or is Lawry calling Amla, Anwar?

Hypothetical?

If Clarke is out with a broken thumb of the Boxing Day test who replaces him?

Does Watson come straight in at number 5, or do they go with someone like D, Hussey or Hodge or North or Marsh or someone else?

Knowing the selectors Lehmann could be brought out of retirement.

Our bowling just ain't what is used to be:no2:

Amla does look a classy player, can't remember him scoring all that quickly in England
