Assuming the Afghans win division three, they have a fair chance. Bermuda and Denmark should be walkovers.

The other group is pretty nasty, especially if Afghanistan fails to turn up in the WCL final. Oman should be a lightweight.

I don't accept taking Bermuda & Denmark lightly... I feel Afghanistan's (If they win the Div 3) journey should end here. Forget qualifying to the World Cup, Even if they finish among the top 8 & join the Intercontinental cup, it would be the biggest upset in cricket history.

Am not against them, just saying they've achived more than the expectations & it has to end somewhere!

Still I cheer for them...

How did they choose those groupings? Group A looks twice as strong as Group B, surely it could have been more balanced.

Anyway I'd still expect Ireland to steam through.

Ya these groups are finalised until & unless there is any match played between the Top six ntpns which is unlikely...

6th Bermuda from the Associates Table
7th UAE
8th Oman

10th Denmark from the WCL Division Two
11th WCL Div 3 winner
12th WCL Div 3 runner-up

Then you just do serpentine picking (1-4-5-8-9-12 in one group, 2-3-6-7-10-11 in the other)

Cricinfo says hong hong and afghanistan are favourites i thought uganda or papua new guniea would be,shame its a month away.
