rsa have a great pace attack, steyn ntini and morkel which will be great at the waca dont get me wrong but how's it going to stand up at the mcg and scg on slower surfaces . . not that aussie really look like having a bowler who can exploit those conditions

haha

Was discussing this exact thing with a friend earlier this week. It sure is uncanny how bowlers get injured early doors on a tour of Australia. I think the Customs Officers must zap them at the airport upon arrival or something.

South Africa currently 123 for 2 against a second string Western Australia. Mac is 55 N/O whilst AB is closing in on his half century.

Morne Morkel is playing along with captain Smith, Steyn and Harris and the plan is for Morne to bowl tomorrow. Lonwabo Tsotsobe is also included over Cackdeki.

Tsotsobe must move ahead of Zondeki in consideration for higher honours.
Well from the looks of it he has...

Anyhow decent batting knock from the South Africans. Ton for AB, half century from Mac and more runs from Amla.

Big test is for tomorrow to see how Steyn, Morkel and Harris pull through.

Touch wood they seem to be going ok...Eight overs, two wickets for Steyn, five overs from Morkel and Harris with a wicket in his first over.

dale steyn

I was reading the west australian newspaper today and was fascinated by an article on dale steyn. According to the article, steyn has been keeping close tabs on the australians, maticuously making notes and studying the australians on pretty much everything for the past 2-3 years. I know that the teams do alot of homework on their opponents but i was fascinated about getting an insight into the off-field work of elite cricketers. Apparently he has notes on every aspect of each batsmen, from trigger movements, to precise field placings. I guess thats why he's potentially one of the best fast bowlers in the world.

Jeez, this is getting pretty hilarious now, what is going on with the Saffies, everyday one of them seems to be getting injured, at this rate they would do well to make it to the 1st test with 11 fit players.

Bummer.

Also

But Nielsen said the all-rounder debate was irrelevant because Symonds had cemented his place in the Test side as a specialist batsman.
I laughed.
