Relative to their own career performances?
Relative to their team-mates?
Relative to the opposition?
All are probably yes.

Let me clarify, when i say relative it means relative to the other arround 20 players who have achieved the first link. You could say slower batting is what differentiates the ones filtered by the second link to those who have got that in common.

Is the answer in anyway connected to the worst ODI innnings in history when Gavaskar made 36 not out from 60 overs?

YES

I'm afraid I can't work this one out Cevno - seems a shame to let the thread disappear so I'll throw one in to see if there is still interest:-

I am aware of one England Test Cricketer whose wife also played cricket for England and another whose sister did - who are they?

Is Ed Joyce the second player?
I worded the question carefully as there may be more than the two I know - however Joyce doesn't count 'cos although he has a sister who's played Test Cricket he hasn't yet himself (though there will be some, not me mind, who will say that can only be a matter of time now he's joined a top county side)

Yes I had a feeling that Joyce didn't quite fit the criteria but thought it would be worth taking a punt. ;)

Is the husband-wife duo Roger Prideaux and Ruth Westbrook?

Extremely sorry for the long delay.
As the thread changed focus and started drifting i forgot about giving the answer to my unsolved question-

What connects Javed Miandad,Sunil Gavaskar,Bruce Edgar?

The answer to this question was that these three are the only three players in the history of international cricket too-

Have faced more than 160 balls individually and too have scored less than 100 runs while remaining not out in a single ODI innings.

 Talk about extremely slow and selfish batting.
