**** United fans are ****.

Chelsea hitting a bit of a slump, lucky not to lose to Bordeaux during the week too. Bad luck for the first Arsenal goal, but Chelsea didn't deserve to win the game in any case. Fantastic two finishes from Van Persie too.

Come on West Ham!

****s all left the pub once Man Utd were done. Being a United fan is almost akin to saying ' I have no interest in football'.

Bollocks, not really fans then are they? Armchair 'fans' aren't fans AFAIC, had this debate before though so cba to really go over old ground.

Mitchell has a point, tbf. ManUre are the non-football fans football team. That's not to say all United fans are like that, but the chances are that if you only have a passing interest in footy you'll probably follow ManUre or one of the other big clubs.

That's your point, not his. His was "Being a United fan is almost akin to saying ' I have no interest in football'." Which is ridiculously cheap coming from a Chelsea fan in any case. Don't really get the contempt for less fanatical fans either. And i say this as a football-obsessive diehard who spent his childhood crying every time United lost. If people want to be less pathetic than i am about their support that's fair enough.

It's more or less what he said tho.

& he's a Mansfield fan, not a team exactly renowned for their casual support.

Big night for Liverpool coming up, win and they're 3 points in front :)
Without wishing to be too melodramatic, I think it could be a season defining game for yer Scousers. If they win they're starting to look like genuine contenders. Choke and they aren't the real deal yet.

****ing glory-hunter, imho.
Think we've not won anything since i've been alive ttytt. Land Rover Freight Trophy was in 1987, but i was born at the end of June, so was won before i arrived on the scene. The two promotions we've had since were not down to winning the division or playoffs.

Lol, what a moronic comment.
Yes, and what's your tenuous link to supporting the team with the most trophies in recent times?

Basically the point Brumby was making is spot on. A Man Utd. game on the telly in the pub brings out all the casual fans for a pint and a natter, then when Arsenal v Chelsea comes on (hardly a Bolton vs Newcastle dire-fest) people just go off.

Why the hatred of casual fans btw?

Deco seems to have regressed from world class in August & September to apathetic now too. Not a fan of the good old English weather, maybe?
He's always been a bit like that though, blows hot and cold to the extreme. He's also been dogged by a bit of injury recently.

I'm disappointed in myself as I fell asleep at around 30m and then woke up as they celebrated the win. TBF I'd played cricket all day at it was nearly 4am, but still.

Good close win to Everton last night.

Good to take the 3 points. And the ability to tease my girlfriend (spurs fan).

Dad asked some advice on who a match to bet on, told him Chelsea vs Arsenal, flat win. Got it.

Thank god, would have killed me otherwise. Made him a profit of $100, giving 40 to me.

Rovers. :( We are ****ed. Good job I haven't watched a Premiership game in over three months, think it has been that long since we actually won a game.
