yeah that was tripe, the next 2 nearly went there as well, don't know what he's trying to do

crapelli was wanking on about his outswinger, what is he talking about ? every time i've seen obrien he cuts most of them in the same as martin

funny that, he bats the same as well

Well you wouldnt want to run straight into him would you? Everyone gives Big Jesse a bit of space when hes got momentum up. Check out the other batsmen when he runs between the wickets.

I've always thought we can't really afford to have them both in the same team. But with Franklin still out and Mills woefully out of form there is no other choice.

Currently O'Brien > Martin too.

not on the current spell, he's bowling some tripe, altho martin wasn't totally effective either

Fortunately we picked up those two wickets towards the end of the first session, because our batting was terrible and until Hayden ran himself out, the bowlers hadn't looked particularly threatening. I think its quite clear after watching Australia bat that we threw away a good opportunity to post a sizeable total - the pitch really is that flat - and I wouldn't be surprised if Australia finished on about 4 or 5 for 300 runs at the close of play.

none of our current crop of seamers are effective on flat wickets, you either need pace or someone like McGrath/Hadlee to bowl a consistant line and lengh.

Totally agree with that.

Hopefully for the 1st Test against West Indies we can have a bowling attack of O'Brien, Southee, Franklin, Oram, Vettori

We're still in this, Vettori is bowling superbly and we can knock a couple more over in the first hour after lunch we're in with a real chance.

In regard to Martin, can you really afford to continue playing him given his batting no matter what he's doing with the ball?

nz batted horribly, they all got themselves out, besides say flynn, that was a ripper

that slower ball of lee's is near undetectable, i've seen him get mccullum out with that in a one dayer, he holds it further back in the hand, long memory some fast bowlers

as i type, more crapping on about hayden, i think i might go to the dunny and give birth to a hayden

Mills out of form? I just think he is not a test bowler. I think they could have left obrien out for Patel.

Redmond to get a five for.

o'brien sucks, but at leats you can see him trying to get in beind it and getbat on ball, martin is hideously embarrassing, has anyone attempted to coach him ? i've heard his eyesight is bad, but just tell him to get in behind the line and protect his stumps a little, gee whiz

hope they come out ad bowl a bit better after lunch (apart from vettori), 2 wickets is a bonus
