I think its responsible - with only Southee, O'Brien and Martin to come, and a new ball due in a matter of minutes, going for your shots right at the moment isn't the right attitude IMO. Admittedly its certainly against his natural game and if Vettori goes in the next couple of overs I hope he changes his mindset slightly.

Yup I can see the reverse swing on the ball from Johnson in particular but I still think the new cherry would be a better option.

To lose 6 wickets, of which 4 were just given away, is totally unacceptable.
262/4 would have still been OK, but it should really be 320/3ish.
McCullum 30 (89)?
Would love to see McCullum and Vettori grit it out tomorrow morning and then go on the offensive tomorrow avo. McCullum sure has played within himself, but they both have to play themselves in tomorrow. And, especially after the way McCullum has played, he should be disappointed not to make a big score. Vettori, at the very least, has to stick with him until sometime after lunch.
Having said that, I wont be terribly surprised if Australia are batting before lunch.

What's dire about it? Big deal if it is a road, Adelaide has a good record of achieving results.Looks like we should be fairly happy with the score, although more to NZ's poor batting then our good bowling apparently. Another dire Adelaide pitch as well

Little for the bowlers, easy runs for the batsmen. Boring cricket all round. Even the most amazing Adelaide match in 06/07 was only good right at the end when England decided to collectively throw their wickets away.[FONT="]
