Wat are the advantages & disadvantages we face by having two divs in Test Status?

Div 1:
1) Australia
2) India
3) England
4) South Africa
5) Pakistan
6) West Indies
7) Srilanka
8) New Zealand

Div 2:
1) Bangladesh
2) Zimbabwe
3) Ireland
4) Kenya
5) Scotland
6) Namibia

Each nation plays each other once at home & away. Top from div 2 should play bottom from div 1 for promotion.

Puts 'marquee' series like the ashes in jeopardy if England and Australia should end up in different dividions. Otherwise it could help the underexposed nations just below the current bg 8 immensely if second division tests are taken seriously enough.
