It has nothing at all to do with the players, just how the openers are preforming around the country. Jeez Volters gimme a break. By showing how all of these guys are doing we are getting a fair example of the pool of talent of NZ openers, this includes even FC debutants since they are playing FC in NZ.Good to see a first-class debutant in Rutherford is included in the "race for Redmond's" spot. No, really, that's a great idea. I know Athlai is looking at everyone who is playing in this round of FC cricket, but that's just stupid. Give the poor bugger a break.
With no Fulton or Myburgh, and the likes of Ellis in the top order, they rely heavily on Stewart, Anderson and Van Wyk.Canterbury just won't die.
Haha! Yea! Huh? huh?Reckon he's just trying to show off all his qualities to the selectors.
Look I can hit a quick 16 and get out, look I can grind out an ugly 30 from 150 balls and get out!
And.... haha ****it. My time will come!Boult 5fa on debut (in NZ)..I picked it, give me a medal.
Our young stocks are looking pretty good. The 3 best U19 players in the country (bar Southee) are the 3 best performing players for their teams in FC cricket so far this season, Anderson, Williamson and Boult.
Yea but trying to be a specialist fielder is just sillyWish we'd have players who pick a discipline and focus on it, rather than trying to cover all bases to stay in a side.
But then I guess that leaves us with guys like Chris Martin and James Marshall
Not unless they enjoy being 12th man. Was going to say Jonty but that's a very very very small minority he's in.Yea but trying to be a specialist fielder is just silly
That ashes guyNot unless they enjoy being 12th man. Was going to say Jonty but that's a very very very small minority he's in.
