***Official Australia in India***

I think Hayden was trying to comment on something important about the world's current economic turmoil and how it could potentially harm 'developing' nations like India. With so many countries falling into recession Hayden was expressing an inspiring cry of warning to the sub-continent that the financial world is in crisis.

Time for him to switch jobs? We badly need economic commentators like him.

"India is a superpower now; it is a hundred years ahead of Australia, which is no more than a village, as compared to India. You don't blame sight screens for poor over-rates."

Irked by Matthew Hayden's comments about India, Wasim Akram lets loose.

 The last thing I expected out of a Pakistani's mouth!
Love the guy but it isn't the first time he's spouted garbage like this.

If India isn't a third world country, and isn't a first world country. Does that make it a second world count?
It's actually kind of odd, but as an interesting aside, the terms "1/2/3 world country" originated during the Cold War to describe those countries that were allied with the US (First world), those that were allied with Russia (Second world) and those that did not pick a side (Third world)...

Who would've thought not picking a side in a ridiculous "war" would lead to abject poverty?!8-)

Mattew Hayden has said a hundred times how much he loves playing india unless you're conspiracy theorist and believe all Of the aussie team is out to get ya I think his word should be taking in rather than hearing former players and journalist saying they disagree.

The poverty inclination in Australia occurred at the same time Hayden began to get regular Test matches. Coincidence? I think not!

Yeah this, it was a wanker comment but to me he's proven plenty of times he's anything but anti-India. He's not the most politically sensitive guy but really the reaction he's gotten by the Indian media has been a joke. They really need to man up a bit.

 Point!

As to those who get in arms with every move the Turbinator does is anti-Australian, comments like this from Hayden won't go down. Even if 99% in India ignore him, the 1% makes up for huge numbers.

Dhoni hits back at Hayden (Add operatic music here)

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Sunday hit back at Australian opener Matthew Hayden's 'third world' remark and said the Aussies are always slow in finishing their quota of overs, no matter which part of the world they play.

"The Australians have played all over the world and their over-rate has been slow all over the world," was Dhoni's sarcastic comment at the mandatory pre-match media conference before Sunday's second One-Day International against England in Rajkot.
