He is out of touch at the moment, doesn't really deserve to be talked about at the moment.
I love David Hussey and he would be my reserve batsmen in case anyone batsmen gets injured, and i think with the kind of touch he has been in for the last two or three seasons he was more then due for some patchy form, but he is gun and i expect him bounce back with a bang, and its not like even in this season he has been terribly out of form or anything, he has just not done anything eye-catching yet this season.

Aus team to play NZ:
Hayden
Katich
Ponting
Hussey
Clarke
Watson
Symonds
Haddin+
Lee
Clark
Siddle
Johnson 12th
Krejza - Squad
Hodge - Squad

ummm, so basically the team as it was, aside from Siddle replacing Johnson, and Symonds replacing White. I think on the likely pitches coming up, Krejza won't have that much impact, so I'd look to Clarke and Symonds to keep Ponting from being suspended . Johnson needs to find some movement or else the line he bowls is too easy to ignore. Have him there keeping the pressure on the guys in there. Siddle at the moment offers the same things we like about Mitch - pace, strength, endurance, but bowls in better areas IMO.

England team for the next ODI against India, following this debacle:

Bell
Prior+
Pietersen*
Bopara
Flintoff
Collingwood
Patel
Broad
Sidebottom
Harmison
Anderson

I'm usually in the "Pietersen at four" camp, but at the moment we just can't get going in the early overs, and promoting him is the only way to avoid an early collapse, it seems. Shah is not needed in the team at the moment, Bopara is clearly in better nick judging by today's game and is deserving of a spot far higher than eight. Our pace bowlers are our greatest asset, and our spinners are so mediocre that the Indian batsmen could play them in their sleep, so if Sidebottom is fit, he plays.

So what're you trying to say? 8 wickets to them in the next ODI then?

Agree. Shah is a waste of space at No.3 and so is Bopara @ no.8. How on earth can a batsman of his calibre bat so low, and he's not a bowler. I'd want someone else instead of Prior to open the innings. Someone who can attack, but sensibly. If I had my way, I'd want Bopara to open with Bell. And followed by the others. Prior should come after Flintoff. And Samit Patel should come ahead of Flintoff.

Bell still at the top of the order.. Not sure who I'd have to replace him, but surely he's chief Over-Waster? Kind of like a poor man's Kallis?

Lets keep Zulu, Hall, van der Wath and other ICL players out of it, I met Andrew Hall in Delhi coupla days ago and we had a chat for 8-10 minutes. He clearly said that its a really pathetic politics and I dont see a chance of 'us' coming back to the side and he really was happy with what he has on hands!

It'd probably look like now....(In a perfect world - won't include retirees but will include injured players or players left out for other reasons...)

1. Hughes
2. Watson
3. Katich
4. Clarke
5. Ponting
6. Hussey
7. Haddin
8. Johnson
9. Lee
10. Bollinger
11. Hilfenhaus

I still have hope for Lee, but I'd admit I was wrong on Hussey & Hilfenhaus.

ODI's:

1. Shane Watson
2. Brad Haddin
3. Ricky Ponting
4. Michael Hussey
5. Michael Clarke
6. Callum Ferguson/Cameron White
7. Andrew Symonds
8. Mitchell Johnson
9. Brett Lee
10. Nathan Hauritz
11. Nathan Bracken/Doug Bollinger

\_/ about Symonds behaviour, he's still one of the best bats in the country.

T20:

1. David Warner
2. Shane Watson
3. Cameron White
4. Brad Haddin
5. Michael Hussey
6. Andrew Symonds
7. Steven Smith
8. Mitchell Johnson
9. Brett Lee
10. Dirk Nannes
11. Shaun Tait

Quick attack FTW.

Good call in getting rid of our two top run scorers in this series
Not conviced that Cook & Bell have definately turned the corner. But even so the only reason both even started the series due to their poor form was because of lack of depth.

If Trescothick was still around Cook would have been out of the team a long time ago, while Bell clearly wouldn't have started if Flintoff was available (full-fit & he had gone on to the next stage as all-rounder) to bat @ 6/7.
