So who's next on the New Zealand openers chopping block?
1. Martin Guptill (dependant on when he returns from injury)
2. Tim McIntosh
3. BJ Watling
5. A middle order batsman chucked into the position, likely Fulton

Probably be like what PEWS (or was it Howardj? Top Cat? ) said - Symonds selected in the squad but will miss out. Ditto Siddle.

Also, is a blind ******** monkey operating the cricket.com.au scorecard?

Without a doubt, to both. In regards to youe first query though, Clarke may not be fit.

*sigh*

No Bollinger. Not unexpected really. Still disappointed.

And why isn't he playing for NSW in the game v NZ I wonder?

So he's having time off by working the cricket.com.au scorecard then?

How making an excellent start to the tour. He'll be the key batsman in the line up, simply because out of all the specialists he's the most experienced.

And he doesnt look like a complete ****** when facing decent bowling, unlike Flynn and Redmond. Our top order being utterly useless again needs Vettori to pull something out of his arse for the millionth time. Taylor should be shot for getting to 30 then getting out.

How gets to his ton with half a dozen. Congrats to that man...making the rest of the top order look like idiots.

Yeah, if How could convert his starts a little more often, he'd be top bat. Very good technically. Has an awful habit of getting 40 and getting out though, even at First Class level. Promising signs for him here.

Neither Redmond failing nor the middle order colapse was at all surprising though.

If we shoot Taylor then what should we do McCullum, Ryder and Flynn?

Well McCullum did trip, but the others!

The only thing that makes me less worried about this batting performance is the fact that the NSW bowling lineup is stronger than the Aussie bowling lineup.

The funny thing is, NSW's five best quicks aren't playing this game for one reason or another. Opening the bowling were NSW's 6th and 8th choice seamers. 9th choice bowled first change (and grabbed three poles).

Disappointing but inevitable.

People talk about how hard it is to get into the Australian team but with the blind loyalty of the selectors, it's hard to get dropped once you're in.

Anyway, where is Bollinger? No Oz, NSW, or 20/20 selection - must be off on another meaningless trip somewhere
