Oh BTW im waiting for duffer to get on and tell me all about how arsenal beat the devils. Loving it :)
The second goal was superb. Pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass BOOM SHACKALAKA!

They've got the new Pires there.

Why does cricinfo keep bringing up all that crap from the indian tour earliar this year?
Everyweek there seems to be someother players article on Cricinfo about it...Seriously LET IT GO.
It's really getting boring. Same old crap regurgitated. I want to see good cricket from these two sides. Damn this is frustrating.

When they conceded that 90th minute goal, I was perturbed that the spurs game was happening. Gladly Gunners held, and Alex Ferguson can go to hell.

Say what you want about Roebuck, the man can write!

He's a pissed off Obama with a pen/computer.

I really hope India can bat well here and put it beyond Australia.

The Aussies will come at them very hard today - they need to be focussed and keep the scoreboard ticking over.

Never said he couldn't write just saying the content is very one sided and only being brought up when india do it. AND then he goes on and indirectly say's only one team was playing in the spirit of the game..wtf.

You can call Roebuck many things, but he's not biased towards Australia.

Its his opinion, and he criticised Australia in the article as well.

I don't agree with everything he's written in the article, but one point he makes is true, why the hell would fans travel all the way to the new stadium to watch that?

And regarding the writing point, wasn't insinuating you said he couldn't, I just think when he's putting his point across, he does it beautifully, even when many believe his contention is wrong.

Beacause India is in control of the match and the series?

i can understand it may not be great for the aussie fans at all

Is test cricket only about hitting 4s and a higher RR? Why can't it be the struggle and war of tactics as it was yesterday? And to say the outside off stump was used for only one session.

I think what India did in the first session was legitimate, and the right tactics, don't get me wrong.

But let's not ignore that the crowds have been poor (for a variety of reasons) throughout this series.

Compare the crowds to the crowds during the third test of the 2001 series in Chennai. Was epic!

Okay, one last time. I agree with you in general. I think Dhoni and Tendulkar's tactics were great, and if I were them I would have done the same.

But when you combine the following issues:
- flat pitches
- slow over-rates
- defensive bowling by both sides
- cricket grounds that are inconvenient to get to, and have ridiculously strict security

... people cbf going to the cricket.

Yea i agree with you well the problem is not how the team is playing but more so where they are pl;aying.

Bangalore was decent with the crowds because it is a well off city with a lot of people

Mohali - has never been great for the cricket i remeber in the ipl Preity zinta and Lee had to autograph tickets and give them away to get minimal crowds 5-7 thous i think

Delhi - never been great for cricket but i was kinda apalled at the crowds there u would think since ganguly's last series etc

Nagpur - the stadium is soo far away, And a draconion policy in the ticket is also effecting the crowds it seems at the new stadium u can only buy a test pass for all 5 days which cost about 750 rupees and the transport there wud be about 200 rupees a day so for the avg person in india it is a bit expensive.

I am more interested in the TV ratings that Test cricket is getting. These days, that's a much truer indication of its popularity.

If they are putting ICL reruns over India-Australia live Test match - it can't be very good, can it? Anyone have the stats for India?
