Wow, how bad must Dravid feel. Pretty much contributed **** all this whole series and now drops that.

He must be so shattered, as will Sharma :(

50.2 Sharma to Katich, 1 run, Dropped by Rahul Dravid at first slip. Katich went chasing a wide delivery outside off stump and got a thick edge to the left of Dravid at a comfortable height and he clangs it. It would have been Katich's third worst shot of his career. What a start. Dravid went with both hands and should have caught it easily.
^ this guy is turning into a big liability  .... i m sure someone would be ready to churn out stats on how he well he did 2 years ago, may be scored some runs at Nagpur some years ago, how his stats are against Englnd, esp at home, how heavily he had scored in the past at some of them and how there is no replacement for him atm 8-)

So nervous ATM. Can't get any visual or audio coverage so relying on Cricinfo. Heart skips a beat each time it updates.

Might be a very controversial comment, but he's ruined his legacy over the last couple of years for mine. Not a an all-time "great".
Nah. You don't just erase awesomeness by playing on when you're past it. You only have to look at the amount of matches he won and saved for India (twin half-centuries vs. WI) to show he's an all-time great.

Seems like Dravid hating will be the in thing for the remainder of this test.
Reckon until he retires or is dropped.

Pretty disgusting. Its fine to want him out of the team, but don't just forget all he's done for Indian cricket.

IF Katich capitalises, Dravid should have one innings left to save his immediate test future

I really respect the guy but his form just isnt up to it anymore

Also, a couple of years ago, Ian Chappell made the observation that he knew he wasnt up to it anymore when he started dropping regulation catches. That to him was an indication that his eyes and reflexes had deteriorated and he was unlikely to rediscover top form consistently

Yeah. Seems to be a rotational thing, imagine Tendulkar or Laxman will be next. Same thing happened in this thread when Kumble was playing in the first test and whether or not he'd come back for the third. Poor form.

More sadness than hate from me. Just resigned to it being over for him.
Exactly. IMO a true Indian cricket fan cannot ever hate Dravid. If they do, they're just fickle ****ers.

Or Kumble for that matter.

As I said, its fine to want them dropped/to retire, but not to loathe them.

well played Katich. Deserving 100.

Dhoni would do well to come a bit closer to the stumps, he's taking everything under his knees.

I don't hate Dravid, given what he's done for India over the past years. But sadly, his time is up I fear.
