Sunny full of praise for the Aussies now. Someone please tell him to shut the **** up. What a ****, so sick of him.

The worst part was he did the same thing in the last test. Picked up, but never gave him a real chance to bowl.

It makes zero sense. OK, so maybe he lost his confidence in White and that's why he didn't bowl him last time. So why pick him again?
Missed the first sentence? :p

As I said, it's a long shot but I really do wonder if he didn't want White in the team. Otherwise, I totally agree with you.

Because the selectors pick the side.

It's quite obvious throughout White's entire career, that Ponting has scant regard for his "bowling". I wouldn't be surprised if he has objected to White's selection all along.

He's the captain. He has input, no? I doubt the selectors would force two spinners down this throat. They give him a squad, but as the captain, he has a big say on the XI, unless I am mistaken?

Some input, yes. Selectors make the final decision.

Merv Hughes is the selector on duty.

I was under similar impression till now but as i have been told since the 2001 Slater incident the on tour selector is the one who picks the side, and the captain doesn't have much of say, by not giving White a bowl Ponting is sending bit of message to the selectors imo.

Yeah and India is 395 for 5 with the field all on the boundary and Shane Watson bowling five foot outside off stump...
Not sure how he bowled before but since I got back from work half an hour ago, Krejza been bowling way outside of Ganguly's leg stump too.

EDIT: And as soon as I type that he goes over the wicket. Loving seeing Krejza make the ball spit. Bhajji will love this.
