The Wheel is Forever
If this is another draw, the ICC really, really needs to look at doing something about the flat pitches for tests these days. Some fantastic bowling from Mishra, Harbs and Sharma lit up the second test for a couple of days, but apart from that the series has been a massive letdown. Hoping against hope that the Aussie pitches aren't so atrocious for the SA tour.
I agree. But if the ICC act like morons and go after subcontinent curators who prepare good Test wickets, like they did in the series vs. SA, this is what you'll get though. Instead, they should go after curators who make these pitches.

Just saw the Ponting press conference on the news, he said the decision for the final place would be between White and a fast bowler. Please oh please let it be Bollinger.

Yeah, that's the thing, flat pitches=bad, spinning wickets=bad. Only greentops allowed if some had their way.

So Krejza definitely playing, or definitely not playing?

if its between White and a fast bowler, hmm thats confusing.

I think we might have to assume that Clark is dropped, Krejza is replacing him and the final spot is between White and a fast bowler (possibly Clark  )

From where i see it Krezja should be given a chance and the obvious man for man replacement then would be Krezja replacing White, it would be kind of harsh on White as he has done decently enough considering how low the expectations were of him with the ball, but he is filling a role that wouldn't do Australia any real good, but to even think of dropping Clark would be idiotic imo.

This is the cricinfo probable Aussie XI for the game:
Australia (from) 1 Matthew Hayden, 2 Simon Katich, 3 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Michael Hussey, 5 Michael Clarke, 6 Shane Watson, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 Cameron White, 9 Brett Lee, 10 Mitchell Johnson, 11 Stuart Clark, Jason Krejza.

Clark has done nothing of note so far. Just 2 wickets @ 80 with a Strike rate of 200.

I want to see how Ponting will fit in the 90 overs, if another pacer comes in for White.

So in other words, he's been about as effective as the rest of the Australian bowlers on this tour?

But he's been better, because atleast he has gone at a low economy rate. The only bowler who has looked likely keeping the Indian batsmen in check this series.
