Terrible match for India. Barring a sensational collapse by the Indians, which look unlikely, this isgoing to be a draw. 3 catches dropped of a century maker. Dammit! Even a lead of 120 could have worked to India's advantage.
Honestly I doubt it would have made any difference. Even if Australia were batting right now and had to survive the day with no chance of winning, which would have taken a much better effort with the ball for India, a draw would still be the likely result.

And I don't think it's been a "terrible" match for India. They did make 600+ in the first innings. It's been a match dominated by both batting sides.

Does anybody think there is a chance of a result tomorrow?
Yeah, Dravid will churn out the fastest 50 in Test cricket, and India to declare at 260-3 at lunh, leaving Aus to score 300 in 60 overs. Mishra to take a fifer then, and Aus crumble to 128 all out in 42.3 overs.

Optimistic? I think so.

trust india to get into a position of potentially losing the match after racking up 600+ in the 1st innings...they need to be really careful in the morning session, i have a feeling michael clarke who has been freakishly successful against india with his part-time spin might be a factor tomorrow...

Better than those other teams who can't rack up 600 against Australia, let alone beat them twice in one year!

We're only in a position to lose because Australia have done it before to England. Otherwise, it should be a sure draw.

At least I hope so :)

But pessimistic for mine. India and Australia have both been beaten by the pitch. There's not going to be a result unless India declares or the Aussies bowl a sensational morning spell. Can't see either happening, India are only two down because one of the batsmen out bowled 40 overs in the last innings and the other was a nightwatchman whose pants turn poo-brown when he faces a ball not in his half. It's a great deck, Gambhir looks in fairly stunning touch and India have enough batting left to bat the day out easily.

Great set-up by Lee, had even a bloke like Dravid tentative on the front-foot. Seems to be running into some rhythm. Perfect timing for the last Test, really.

Need Tendulker out soon to really put them under pressure. They could crumble under the pressure...

Gambhir has obviously been excellent this series but I've lost count of the number of times he's edged just short of the keeper and slips

It'll be interesting to see how he performs outside the subcontinent because there is definitely a weakness there

Tell ya what, Brett Lee is a phenomenal athlete. 6 overs today and he's still sending them down at 90mph at 32 years of age and has been right up there for speed his whole spell. For most blokes, that sort of speed is a shock-ball, not stock!

Yup, he is far from a finished article, but he is a batsmen with immense talent and from what i have seen of him he is a very quick learner, so one can expect him to have a really good solid international career.

boringggg....

once again india look to play for a draw instead of trying to win and go 2-0 up in the series. guilty as charged. it was obvious they were looking to draw this match when they sent the nightwatchmen in last night. india will never be number one with this kind of attitude. guilty of doing this in england 07 as well. oh well. if it was australia batting right now they would try and force a result.
