Having all 10 wickets intact by day's end will surely be a massive morale-booster for the Aussies. They'll feel that perhaps they can still make a game of this. It's not as if they've never chased down massive 1st innings scores (both at Adelaide, given) but having all batsmen in the shed for tomorrow is inestimable.

Whilst, a couple of spells aside, the bowling was well short of international standard for nearly 2 full days, if Aus get bowled out cheaply on a wicket where the opposition has scored 600+ for 7 then a large number of players should be playing for their immediate international futures
Mate i don't think there is much else the Aussie quicks could have done on that track, Clark kept things tight, Lee and Johnson bowled with good pace and pretty much bowled their hearts out, Watson of course was the best Aussie quick on display, but lets be honest when they ball hasn't reversed or seamed for the Aussie quicks so they were bound to struggle against this formidable Indian batting line-up, the lack of a decent spinner is what made the Aussie bowling attack look even more pedestrian, but when Australia bat one can be rest assured the pitch won't look as easy to bat on when India were batting, as they have two world class spinners to exploit this pitch and the both Sharma and Khan might also get reverse going tomorrow, so batting would be far from easy for Australian batsmen tomorrow, or for that matter through the rest of the game.

no need to say that it was a brilliant day for India with Gambhir and Laxman hitting doubles. this inning will give Gambhir a lot of confidence :)

a couple of Australian wkts [good bowling, loose shot, run outs] with may be the pitch showing signs of wear could set the cat amongst the pigeons

Guys, we're gonna lose. 300 all out and forced to follow on. We'll lose this by an innings.*

Indians are unstoppable whne their in this kind of mood. with no decent spinners aussies were bound to find it hard on this pitch. im gonna go for a draw though. ponting double century to save the loss.

Oh dear, Watto got fined.

About time to be honest... most of my other favourite players have been done by the match referee! Atherton, Hussain, McGrath, Ganguly, Warne, Styris, KP, Graeme Smith... JL missing which quite surprises me. And Fred. :)

Actually, looking at the list, can't believe McGrath has been done at least twice for dissent over being given out!

Couldn't agree more.

Batten down the hatches boys, and bat for three days.
Yup, forget the Indian score, targets are for day 5. For now, just bat time. Great opportunity on a flat deck to cash in, really.

Yeah, Australia really need a big score for a whole range of reasons.

I'd especially like to see some runs from Ponting.
