***Official Australia in India***

talking about racial bias in umpiring/refereeing.

he's invalidating his own point by bringing up something stupid with Watson mumbling a couple of things to himself as Gambhir was out.

Why doesn't he bring up Katich? which makes a much more valid argument.

There is not much batting left for India after Ganguly and Dhoni. Australia could easily prize out a couple wickets here and they'd be into the tail. Laxman isn't a great runner either, they could very well knock India over for less than 480, which would be a big boost.

Yup, now Ganguly goes. India 475 all out.

I think Mark Nicholas dealt with that quite well to be honest.
he was being all english and diplomatic about it. someone needs to take gavs head on. I think Ravi should be the person to do it, once he grows a pair.

what annoys me most is that Gavaskar's undermining the argument. It is valid, but it's got an illogical old man arguing for it.

Actually, watching that replay shows how farcical Gavaskar was being. Watson was not even anywhere near Gambhir who was walking back to the pavilion in the opposite direction, and obviously just muttering to himself or one of his teammates.

They can kiss commentating for the BCCI ever again. Sunny knows no-one can talk back to him there.

If that constitutes a send off then I've given hundreds in my life. I almost always mutter something under my breath after I get a wicket, usually something like "About ****ing time." or "What a ****ing muppet.".

If it is a white man then Gavaskar will just claim racism, all Mark Nicholas could do was straight bat it.

Quite. But I bet now Gavaskar has said it it will be reported as fact in some places.

Chris Broad deserves a lot of critisism for his uneven application of the laws, but someone other than Gavaskar needs to do it. For one, they wouldn't be a total muppet like Gavaskar.

And you expect people to take him seriously when he says that? I think the problem with a non-Indian doing it is the BCCI angle -- I think not even Siva can say anything.
