***Official*** New Zealand in Bangladesh

This partnership actually isn't going quickly enough at the current rate to win the game if Bangladesh only bowl the minimum overs. :p

It's obviously not a legitimate factor; I just though it was amusing.

Funny to see NZ folks salivating at the prospecting of defeating the Bangers.
I think that Bangladesh have been developing very well recently. They started looking a bit more promising during last years world cup imo.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Vettori winning this one nearly single handed - 9-133 and 105* so far for the match.

Captain Dantastic.

Like Gillespie's unbeaten double ton and Smith and McKenzie racing to over 400 without the loss of a wicket earlier this year.:-O

Since October 2003 - that's over five years ago - Vettori has scored almost 2000 runs at over 41. That's amazing. He's basically your best batsman now that Fleming has retired.

Taylor's obviously a lot more talented than Vettori with the bat but he's prone to soft dismissals and absolute brain explosions. He'll probably develop into a better batsman than Vettori but I really don't think it's true yet. 600 runs @ 36 doesn't really do his talent justice but that is what he's done. Vettori's transformation since that hundred against Pakistan has been amazing - it's gone somewhat un-noticed too. I think everyone realises he can bat but his efforts haven't been completely credited as they should have, especially given the frequency of top order collapses.

Gillespies double ton was in April 2006, ages ago. I still think they have come a long way in being more competitive. Their bowling and batting are getting better although they are still not quite to the standard they need to be at yet. Just a couple more years experience for the newcomers.

Yet you never get the feeling that they will actually win a test.

Haha  obviously 303 @ 60.60 vs 211 @ 35.17 is better.
Trying to say conisitency rather than a ton here and there is more important to me. Don't know why I didn't just say that from the start

A more stable Fleming type character although I guess Taylor fits into an Astle/McMillan sort of role and How/Vettori could become more like Fleming.

What I am pleased with is the graft the side has displayed. It is only Bangladesh, but its been a while since New Zealand last managed to bat 4+ sessions.
